Clirik's CLUM Series Ultra Fine Vertical Roller Mill has once again proven its capabilities by successfully grinding calcite to a fineness of 15 microns in India, with a production rate that exceeds several tons per hour. This achievement underscores the mill's ability to meet the high standards of the ultra fine powder industry.

The CLUM mill's high additional value is evident in its ability to produce particles with a size range of D97 5-45 microns. With a PLC frequency converter control system, the mill can produce 2-micron powder with a narrow particle size distribution, unit form particle shape, and controllable 2-micron content, significantly increasing the final powder's added value and application areas.

The mill's main structures, including the motor, reduction gear, grinding rollers, grinding plate, pressure-applying device, classifier, mill body, oil station, and electrical system, all contribute to its high performance. The grinding roller, a key component for crushing and grinding materials, operates passively due to friction force when in contact with the materials. The grinding plate, driven by the reduction gear, is the area where the grinding process takes place. The pressure-applying device controls the gap between the grinding roller and plate, maintaining the roller pressure. The classifier, a multi-rotor classifier, utilizes centrifugal force to separate fine powder during the continuous process, making it a highly efficient and energy-saving powder separating device.

The CLUM mill's working principle involves the rotation of the grinding plate by the main motor via the reduction gear, with high-pressure air entering the mill interior. Materials fall onto the center of the grinding plate and move towards its fringe due to centrifugal force. The grinding roller crushes and grinds the materials directly, while the fine particles form a material bed where inter-particle crushing occurs until they are ground into fine powder. The fine powder is then carried away by the air flow and separated by the classifier, with the final product collected and discharged as finished powder by the powder collector.
