Vertical grinding equipment is designed for the production of fine and ultrafine powders from non-flammable, non-explosive, and brittle materials with a Mohs hardness of under six. It can process over 100 different materials including calcite, chalk, limestone, dolomite, kaolin, bentonite, talc, mica, magnesite, illite, pyrophyllite, vermiculite, sepiolite, attapulgite, rectorite, diatomite, barite, gypsum, alunite, graphite, fluorite, rock phosphate, potassium ore, pumice, and others.
Vertical grinding equipment is composed of several components including the main unit, classifier, powder collector, dust cleaner, blower, muffler, sound-proof room, crusher, bucket elevator, storage hopper, and vibrating feeder.
After being crushed by the hammer crusher, large materials are reduced to smaller ones and conveyed to the storage hopper via the elevator. Then, they are uniformly fed into the upper distribution plate of the turntable by the vibrating feeder and inclined feeding pipe. When the vertical grinding equipment operates, all grinding rollers roll in the ring, and the materials are pushed by centrifugal force to the edge of the turntable and drop into the grinding chambers where they are repeatedly pressed, crushed, and ground by the rollers.
The high-pressure air blower continuously inhales air into the grinding mill. Simultaneously, crushed materials are brought into the classifier, where a high-speed impeller screens the airflow. Unqualified particles are returned to the grinding mill for regrinding, while qualified particles mixed with air enter the cyclone powder collector. Most of the qualified powders exit through the discharge valve at the bottom, while a small portion of fine powders with airflow moves to the dust cleaner and adheres to the surface of filter bags. Periodically, high-pressure gas ejected by the pulse valve causes sudden vibrations in the filter bags, dislodging the fine powders that then fall down.
Materials from both streams are conveyed to the bottom conveyor for packing the finished powders. Additionally, filtered clean air is released from the muffler's air outlet.
Compared to jet mills, mixing grinders, and ball mills, the micro powder grinding mill has double the capacity under the same final size and motor power.
The ring and roller are forged from special materials with high durability. For the same grinding material and specified fineness, the spare parts' lifecycle is approximately one year, 2-3 times longer than that of an impact mill or turbo mill. Grinding calcite carbonate can extend this to 2-5 years.
The absence of rolling bearings or screws in the grinding cavity eliminates issues such as bolt shedding or rapid wear of bearings and seals.
Final fineness of grinding materials can be adjusted between 325 meshes and 3000 meshes, achieving a product fineness of D97≦5um.
